Rebecca Schatz RMT

Welcome to Lotus. Having studied many modalities beginning at the age of 16 with reike and crystal healing, I draw upon years of hands-on work and study to assist your process physically, mentally or spiritually. Intuitively, messages and information mostly come visually for me but also somatically, meaning I feel and sense physical symptoms and emotions. I am a reike and Heliosol Practitioner. Please see a description of both modalities in the training section. Reiki, Heliosol, visualization, visioning and sound therapy are all used to support you in the Energy sessions. All of us have the innate ability to heal and shift ourselves into a more homeostatic or balanced state. When you are with me, I am a witness to you doing just that., with me as a listening guide.

From my RMT and body-focused training, assessment follows traditional methods of orthopaedic testing (range of motion and strength discrepancies for example). Myofascial techniques, joint play, facilitated stretching, acupressure, trigger point therapy and breathing techniques are used as massage tools to assist your central nervous system to recalibrate and start to heal. I have a particular interest in the pain science behind chronic issues and the effects of somatic treatment on our mental and emotional states.

Tuning into your body’s innate wisdom requires a dedicated approach and I am honoured to work with you.

I have deep reverence for being able to work in Dakwäkãda and share my gratitude for the people of the Champagne Aishihik Territory. The land heals us all.

  • Certified Reike Practitioner -A Reiki treatment is a way of increasing your life energy. A practitioner will transmit Reiki (universal energy) to the client through the hands. The hands are lightly placed on or near the body in various positions around the head, shoulders, stomach and feet. Sometimes a practitioner will also treat above the body.

  • Certified Heliosol Practitioner - This system approaches the complaints a person has about their health or other aspect of life by working with that person’s inborn intelligence. The practitioner establishes a yes/no response with this intelligence and then uses The Healing Wheel and The HelioSol Master Chart to determine what needs to shift. HSS uses a series of templates that are applied to specific concerns to highlight the balancing energies required. The focus in all cases is to find the underlying concept that is causing the distortion and to bring the person’s attention to it.

  • Trained in hot stone massage.

  • Instructed massage students in anatomy, neurology, myology, massage treatment, massage theory and clinical assessment courses. Supervised clinical practicum offsite and onsite of hands-on massage therapy treatments in clinical, office, sports and hospice settings.
